World Travel Market woos students

A global travel trade show is giving travel and tourism students the chance to talk to potential employees.

The Institute of Travel and Tourism will host its Future You event at World Travel Market at the Excel Centre, London, 2015.

The “career networking” initiative is new for 2015 and companies that are taking part are: Real Gap, STA Travel, Hilton Worldwide, SKAL/Heathrow Academy and Global Spirit.

Real Gap, a gap year and student travel specialist, will be offering one student two week’s work experience at its head office, while representatives from Hilton will also be talking work experience opportunities.

The programme will be moderated by Danny Waine, CEO, Perfect Weddings Abroad.

The keynote speech comes from Hilton Worldwide Director of Talent Acquisition Europe, Middle East and Africa Rob Zajko.

The ITT Future You will also showcase this year’s TTG 30 Under 30 Tomorrow’s Travel Leaders.

Meanwhile World Travel Market London 2015 has announced its most comprehensive blogging programme to date, with sessions spread over three days and almost twice the number of bloggers at its Blogger Speed Networking event.

World Travel Market London senior director, Simon Press, said: “WTM London has been running standing-room only blogging programme since 2011 and every year it gets bigger and more popular as the number of bloggers attending the event grows.”
