Christmas party organiser Vivid Experience has signed a new three-year deal with the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham and will deliver Christmas party events at the venue until 2017.
Following a launch at the NEC in 2013, the Vivid Christmas parties at the venue have grown in popularity, with 18,000 guests welcomed in 2014 and the agency predicting more than 20,000 will attend this year.
Vivid Experience MD Richard Longhill said the agency’s Christmas parties had proved very successful and demand for tickets continued to grow “with record sales year on year”.
“Our new deal gives us the confidence to invest even further in the product, producing parties that will remain the talk of the town,” he added.
Previous parties have included aerial performances, fairground rides and on-stage entertainment.
Louise Hankinson, live events account manager at the NEC, said: “We are thrilled with the success of the shows. Due to increasing visitor numbers, Richard and his team have decided to increase the capacity of each party night this year from 1,400 to 1,900, which the NEC has been able to accommodate. We are looking forward to welcoming more excited party-goers than ever before and working with the team at Vivid to bring their newest ideas to life.”
Having gone with themes ‘Cirque’ and ‘Aspen Rocks’ in previous years, Vivid Experience has chosen ‘Festive and Fabulous’ for the 2015 event.
