A new business festival to be launched in Leicester later this month is set to offer attendees 75 separate events, including conferences and seminars, across eight sectors.
The festival has been created to present all the best that Leicestershire has to offer in business. Led by the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP), in partnership with Champions (UK) plc, the festival is set to be an annual event which looks to showcase the region’s economic growth nationally and internationally.
The festival is set to run 26 October to 6 November, with Funny Business – Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival from affiliate sponsors Big Difference Company on 28 October at the Garden Room, LCB Depot.
Organisers say the festival aims to promote business strength across Leicestershire, inviting attendees to bring ideas for business to thrive.
Many companies are supporting the festival, including headline sponsor, the University of Leicester, Affiliate Partners Aon, Santander, AXA PPP and Mattioli Woods. Further support comes in the form of extensive media coverage planned on social media, through media partners Leicester Mercury and Smooth Radio.
Chair of the Leicester Business Festival, Alister de Ternant, said: “This festival is a celebration of business prominent at the national level, with events run by businesses, for businesses. This is not about politicians or the public sector, more a chance for people and businesses to come together, exchange ideas and talk about moving business forward in the country.”
