A new global support alliance for independent meetings professionals has been launched by nndustry veterans Ian Quartermine and Jeffrey Devine.
Dezika is the name of the new support network agency. It will officially launch on 13 October during the IMEX America show in Las Vegas.
The premise is for Dezika to provide back up tools for independent planners to become more competitive and enable them to deliver service levels similar to larger organisations.
Services involved include commission collection, ancillary service procurement to enable the scaling up of operations, electronic and forensic audits, sharing of problems and best practice through networking events, access to cruise and air group expertise, and a recognition programme.
Quartermine, who has previously worked for HelmsBriscoe, MeetingsIn and British Airways, said: “Independent meetings planners are the lifeblood of the industry worldwide. Jeff and I devised Dezika to provide solutions to the key issues they are facing day in, day out and offer crucial support that will help them to work smarter and make them more competitive.”
