The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) has announced the finalists for this year’s ICCA Best Marketing Award (BMA) competition which will take place at the association’s 54th Congress in Buenos Aires, Argentina, next month.
The four finalists and their campaigns are:
- Halifax Convention Centre, an example of a venue taking the lead in putting a destination on the map
- Istanbul Convention & Visitors Bureau’s innovative city marketing to challenge cliches
- Procolombia for its rebranding excercise to overcome massive challenges concerning the country’s international perception
- VisitAarhus Convention Bureau for its campaign to capture the attention of local academics in their community.
The finalists will present their successful marketing campaigns at the Congress, 1-4 November.
As well as a detailed evaluation by an expert panel including past winners, the BMA finalists are judged by a live plenary audience of their competitors and colleagues. The session has become one of the most eagerly anticipated highlights of the ICCA Congress.
