The Roundhouse in London has appointed Vanessa Adlard to head the venue’s events team.
Adlard has 12 years of experience in the events industry and has previously worked at D&D London, English Heritage, the Royal Opera House and Lord’s Cricket Ground.
She said: “I am hugely excited to join the events team at the iconic London venue which regularly delivers prestigious events. I’m looking forward to developing the events offering at the Roundhouse.”
Roundhouse chief executive Marcus Davey, added: “Vanessa brings a wealth of experience that will only enhance our offer for clients and guests, whilst bringing in valuable income for our charitable work that supports thousands of young creatives each year.”
Camden’s Roundhouse began its life in 1846 as a repair shed for steam engines, before becoming a gin warehouse. In 1964 that the building became an arts centre, and has since hosted performances from many of the world’s most acclaimed musicians.
All income generated from corporate and private events at the Roundhouse funds the Roundhouse Trust, an in-house charity that provides ‘space to create’ for 11-25-year-olds, particularly those disadvantaged by society.
