New York spreads the news

NYC & Company, New York City’s official marketing, tourism and partnership organisation, will visit Manchester and London this autumn.

Members of the convention development team at NYC & Company will showcase New York City’s offerings as a MICE destination to European buyers, highlighting the city’s event venues, meeting spaces and incentive activities.

NYC & Company’s Convention Development team will be joined by representatives from Gansevoort Hotel Group, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Lotte New York Palace, Marriott Hotels, New York Marriott Marquis, New York Hilton Midtown Manhattan Hotel, Official New York Pass®, Roosevelt Hotel New York, Row Hotel NYC, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, THE RIDE, Warwick New York Hotel and YOTEL New York City.

Jerry Cito, senior vice president of convention development at NYC & Company said: “New York City welcomed 6.1 million meeting and convention delegates in 2014, up from 5.9 million the previous year,” commented. “We are expecting to keep the same positive pace for 2015 and on track to welcome 6.3 million delegate visitors to the City’s five boroughs. The MICE sector is a vital contributor to New York City’s tourism economy and continuing the growth out of key European markets is a top priority for us.”
