Academic Venue Show moves to Royal Horticultural Halls

Venuemasters, the consortium representing 70 academic venues, has announced that its 2016 edition of The Academic Venue Show will take place on 11 May at the Royal Horticultural Halls in Westminster, Central London.

The one-day event is the UK’s only exhibition dedicated to showcasing the meeting and accommodation facilities offered by academic institutions.

The event had been held at ILEC in Kensington London in recent years and moves to the more central Royal Horticultural Halls. The show had previously been held, also, at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium and the Business Design Centre Islington.

“We’re really looking forward to the Academic Venue Show 2016,” said Venuemasters marketing manager Jo Mitchell, who told CN: “We’re always keen to keep the Academic Venue Show fresh, so moving venues is a great way to inject new energy to the event. The Horticultural Halls provide excellent transport links, with four tube stations – and a main railway station – around a 10-minute walk away.

“Over half of the stands have already been sold, with a fantastic range of venues from across the country exhibiting. The Horticultural Halls will provide a fabulous backdrop for the show, giving visitors plenty of space to arrange meetings with venue representatives.”

Speakers are still to be announced, but organisers predict there will be up to 40 exhibitors at the free-to-attend show for which registration will open in January 2016.
