Zibrant’s Housing Bureau service has re-secured the contract to deliver the accommodation booking and system management for the 2016 Farnborough International Airshow (FIA).
The agency has managed the contract since 2009, with over 200,000 trade and public visitors attending the week-long event.
Organisers claim the show saw business deals valued at over $204bn signed in 2014, a record for what is one of the major global events in the aerospace industry diary.
Organisers Farnborough International (FIL) are making enhancements to the show for 2016, including more Meet-The-Buyer events and a larger civil delegations programme.
Zibrant sales director Hannah Wilkinson says: “I’m absolutely delighted that we are partnering with Farnborough International once again for 2016. We have invested heavily in ensuring that we have the best technologies and the best people to support our accommodation partners and this win is testimony to our continued strategies of growth in this area.”
Wilkinson noted over 75% of exhibitors rated their overall experience and visitor quality as either ‘good’ or ‘excellent’ and 70% stating the FIA event had met their objectives.
Grahame Jones, chief operating officer for FIL said he was looking to attract more international participation at the 2016 show and wanted to make visiting or participating at the show as easy as possible.
“Zibrant have continually invested in new technologies and have provided the best quality service to us as their customer. We look forward to working with them in the forthcoming year in the run-up to the 2016 show.”
The Farnborough Airshow was worth £64m to the national economy according to an independent economic impact study by Repucom on behalf of FIL.
