An event production team is celebrating a record-breaking summer.
ACC Liverpool’s 19-strong production team has led technical support for conferences including NHS Confederation, the British Contact Lens Association and Airmic.
The team provided live streaming, interactive voting and the recording of all plenary sessions for NHS Confederation. The team also provided AV for the conference dinner, which took place at St George’s Hall, Liverpool city centre. It will provide production for a upcoming events at the venue including RenewableUK, CostCutter and UK Stroke Forum.
The venue has added new LED lighting through the galleria, high-definition projectors and switchers in the auditorium and meeting rooms, and an infrared assisted listening system.
A spokeswoman for the venue said that organisers could choose between the in-house expertise and using their own production team.
She said: “Clients do not have to use our production team. We are happy if they wish to bring in their own team. But we do find that they value having one point of contact alongside our expertise and experience.”
David Morgan, senior partnership and events manager at the NHS Confederation told CN: “We have done nine conferences with the ACC Liverpool. They know their business inside out and are able to offer creative solutions to the issues we face. They have massive experience of events and come up with ideas we may not have thought of.”
But event organiser Kate Braxton, director at Jameroo, said agencies often prefer to bring in their own production to venues across the country.
She said: “It’s always frustrating when you have to inherit the production. It can create compromising situations for agencies. That’s because effectively you know that you don’t have the same relationship with what you are inheriting. You can’t check the quality of the kit. If it’s your kit and your people, it will be 100% better.”
