Castrol recently invited 350 of its UK and European customers to Millbrook in Bedfordshire for the launch of its new performance lubricant Supercar partnerships.
Delegates pulled onto the steering pad to find a selection of Supercars lined up and ready for driving, before entering Millbrook’s unique Concept 1 venue, which provided the backdrop for presentations by Christian Von Koenigsegg and Andy Green.
After the presentations guests visited the BLOODHOUND Theatre, to find out about a rocket powered supersonic car. They were also able to take test drives in Jaguars, Audis, Lamborghinis and Aston Martins, or play it safe with a speed passenger ride with one of Millbrook’s skilled drivers.
Out on Millbrook’s 70km of test tracks, guests put the supercars’ handling to the test on the Alpine Hill Route, the Outer Handling Circuit and reached top speeds on the High Speed Bowl.
Kevin Leaver, head of events at Millbrook Venues said: “The Castrol Edge event was a huge success for everyone involved and lots of fun too. We were pleased to welcome renowned engineers Christian Von Koenigsegg and Andy Green on site and felt that the organisers of the event took full advantage of the venues and tracks available here at Millbrook.”
Amanda Davies, sponsorship and events project manager at Castrol (Europe) added: “Millbrook was the perfect location for the launch of Castrol’s new high performance lubricant partnerships with supercar designers. Our European delegates were able to fly into the UK for an inspiring and educational event.”
