BDC aims to be capital’s best Wi-Fi provider with new 2Gbps service

Major summer investment in wireless equipment at London’s Business Design Centre (BDC) is, the management team says, designed to give organisers at the Islington venue the best Wi-Fi capacity in the capital.

From 1 September 2015, event organisers will be able to take advantage of 2Gbps of leased line fibre bandwidth via Next Generation Wi-Fi Access Points.

The BDC says its investment will result in a high-speed connection capability for over 10,000 devices throughout the venue.

BDC conference sales manager Emma Clarke says: “We made a huge investment in our Wi-Fi infrastructure to ensure that we retain and grow our technology-based clients. There are many events that are highly dependent on social media and base their client experience on fast access to the internet.

“Our aim is to be the best London venue service provider for Wi-Fi, which we believe we will now achieve.”

Mason IT, a leading Huawei Gold Partner, will be running the installation scheme after winning the first project in the UK to install the Huawei Next Generation Access Points for high density wireless solutions.
