A major sporting venue is set to host winners in business.
Venturefest will take place at The Point, Lancashire County Cricket Club on, 22 September.
The event features speakers, interactive workshops and the chance to network with some of the region’s most business leaders.
Organised by the Business Growth Hub with support from Innovate UK and the Knowledge Transfer Network, Venturefest 2015 is about technology and innovation, and the ways in which they can help companies to grow.
It offers an opportunity for entrepreneurs, investors and innovators to mix, share ideas and develop new partnerships.
Visitors can also tap into the expertise offered by the Hub and its partners
The Hub’s director of Business Growth, Richard Jeffrey, said: “We’re aiming to build on Manchester’s great tradition of innovative and independent thinking, stimulating new ideas, investment and collaborations and ultimately helping to support the continued growth of GM and the wider North West.”
The Point is a purpose-built conference and events centre which can accommodate up to 1,200 guests.
Interim head of venue sales Michele Somers said “The Business Growth Hub has held several events at Emirates Old Trafford but they tend to be small meetings, this is the biggest event they have had at our venue.
“They will be using The Point for exhibition, catering and conferencing, while holding breakout meetings in the Pavilion.
“We are delighted to be the hosting Venturefest 2015. We look forward to welcoming both the inspiring speakers and all delegates to The Point.”
