Chambers Travel Events is reporting a 70% growth in turnover over the last year, to total £7.2m, after winning new business worth £2.8m since May 2014.
New business includes a five-day conference in Dublin for a leading technology company held at DoubleTree by Hilton Burlington Road in March this year. The event was a global sales kick-off for 500 delegates featuring offsite dinners around the city and a gala night at Guinness Storehouse.
Chambers Travel Events also managed travel and logistics for 700 delegates attending the Martini 150 event in Italy last September.
The full service agency, part of Chambers Travel Group, has also promoted Hannah Fletcher to senior account director.
Fletcher had been in the role of EMEA marketing manager since 2014.
“Hannah’s role has been created to focus on current client management and new business as well as service excellence across Chambers’ global events portfolio. Her background in marketing and brand allows her to take the lead on the experiential and brand activation side of our events business,” said Chambers Travel Group marketing and events director Frits De Kok.
“I am delighted to be returning to the events side of Chambers business and look forward to continuing to drive our growth and business development,” said Fletcher.
“These are exciting times for us as our events division continues to grow rapidly. We already experienced 38% growth in 2013/14, so to increase our turnover by 70% in 2014/15 is phenomenal,” she added.
“We are confident of achieving our growth target of a further £2.5m turnover over the next 12 months.”
