£2.5m upgrade for Lancashire hotel

The Dalmeny in St Annes, Lancashire, has unveiled a £2.5m refurbishment programme, which will see a new function suite and ceremony room for weddings take shape over the next 12 months.

Eighty of hotel’s 125 bedrooms will be renovated and a new restaurant and improvements to the spa facilities will be made.

Director Samantha Lewis said targetting corporate guests and events were crucial to the business’s growth.

“Investment of this kind will provide even more reason for people to visit the Hotel,” said Lewis.

“We’re seeing an increase in wedding bookings, much of which has been due to the growing popularity of winter weddings and an upsurge in bookings from older clients. The new facilities will allow us to host up to 200 people for celebrations and corporate events, and we’re already experiencing high levels of demand.”

Due to be completed next spring, the new ceremony room will host up to 80 guests within the Atrium Suite area and has an exclusive red carpet entrance off the car park for enhanced privacy. The Atrium itself can accommodate 200 people with its own mezzanine level cocktail bar.

The venue celebrates its 70th year next year.
