Leicester’s College Court expands to meet demand

College Court in Leicester, which opened in October 2013, is to add another conference room able to hold 100 delegates. Management says the extension is due to demand and the success of the University of Leicester’s all-round conference centre and hotel complex.

The Willow and Sycamore suites are to be renovated in August 2015. The work will transform two training rooms into one large conference room holding up to 100 delegates.

The venue has also recently received a five-star rating from the Environmental Health Officer which ranked College Court as ‘Very Good’ for their standards of food hygiene.

Business development manager Charlotte Sanders said: “This is an extremely exciting time for us here at College Court as we look to expand our offering in the conference and events market.

“We are thrilled to be able to meet the demand for space by expanding our existing offer. We already have clients booked in to use the new Willow suite from September 2015 and look forward to welcoming many more delegates through our doors.”

The work is to be undertaken by the University’s Division of Estates and Facilities Management and will start on 10 August, lasting approximately three weeks.
