Grass Roots M&E taking a bigger bite of the Big Apple

Grass Roots Meetings & Events has marked its fifth anniversary of doing business in the USA with the launch of a charity initiative.

The US branch of Grass Roots M&E is part of the wider global communications agency and employee and customer engagement solutions provider, Grass Roots Group.

The charity initiative, in association with Covenent House, was the culmination of a series of events whereby the agency’s employees took a break from their schedules in June to spend time coaching young residents in preparation for job interviews.

The initiative, chosen by staff, is to become an annual event.

UK-based Richard Bandell, Grass Roots Group CEO, attended a reception to mark the event and the anniversary, as well as a client event at the New York EDITION hotel.

The Grass Roots office, located in midtown, has grown from three to 35 full time employees over the five years and the team has operated 1,250 events and handled some 20,000 attendees.

In 2013 Grass Roots in the US was included in the Inc.1000 fastest growing companies list.

The wider group now boasts 14,000 clients, including 41 of the FTSE 100.
