World PCO Alliance to expand as turnover grows

World PCO Alliance president Per Ankaer, from ICS – International Conference Services in Denmark, the president of the marketing consortium, has said turnover among the Alliance’s 19 professional conference organiser members grew 10% over the past year.

Making the announcement, he said: “The members operated numerous conferences this past year, including the European Society for Dermatological Research Congress, operated by ICS in
Copenhagen in September 2014 with over 1,000 delegates, the 32nd World Congress of Endourology which was held in Taipei, 4-7 September, 2014 organised by K&A, and the UNESCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Okayama/Nagoya (November 2014) operated by Congress Corporation, our Japanese partner.”

Ankaer also noted that at IMEX Frankfurt (19-21 May) his team would be interviewing candidate PCO members in countries marked for strategic expansion by the Alliance. He claimed that 40 firms in 19 countries have indicated an interest in joining.

The World PCO Alliance reports an active year so far for 2014-15 with Nina Freysen-Pretorius and Gregg H. Talley elected to president and member of the board of directors of ICCA, respectively.
