Club Liverpool aims to score with new ambassadors

A convention bureau has rebranded its ambassador programme.

The Club Liverpool programme will be unveiled this week at IMEX in Frankfurt.

The new programme is led by Liverpool Convention Bureau in partnership with ACC Liverpool.

A refreshed website,, allows ambassadors to access event news, networking opportunities, and key information.

Liverpool’s ambassadors have helped attract over 120 national and international events to the city region since its inception in 2004.

Jane Fawley, Club Liverpool programme manager said the aim is to double the number of city ambassadors in the next 12 months to 170 .

She said the new approach is highly targeted at specific individuals.

She said: “We have gone through the ICCA database and identified the events we want to win. We will now approach key people to help us win those bids.”

Kate Currie, bureau manager, said: “Working together as joint advocates allows us to get our messages out to the right people and show just why businesses should recognise Liverpool as a world class destination for conferences and events”.
