A venue operator is celebrating
its fifth anniversary.
Launched in 2010 to secure the future of
Bournemouth’s venues and leisure centres, BH Live comprises venues, leisure
centres, cafés and bars in Poole, Portsmouth, Oxford, London and the Home
Counties. These include the London Aquatics Centre and Copper Box Arena at
Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
The number of people employed at BH Live has
more than doubled in five years to over 1,300.
the year ending March 2014 BH Live Enterprises made a gross profit of £1.6m on
a turnover of £4.5m. All of the profit was gift aided to BH Live and reinvested
back into the organisation to develop and improve services.

vision of BH Live is creating opportunities, inspiring people and enriching
lives and we strive towards this by generating more participation, higher
audiences and greater economic
benefit, through hosting major conferences, exhibitions and events for
the benefit of the local, regional and national economy.”
Peter Gunn (pictured) said: “We have recorded over 12.9 million visits to our venues and
catering outlets, and our event programme has diversified to attract a wider
range of industries and genres. £5.6 million has funded the development of
improvements to our services and facilities.”
