‘One-of-a-kind’ AVS set to grow at ILEC

Restaurant critic Jay Rayner and meetings industry academic expert Jackie Mulligan from Leeds Beckett University head the line up of presenters for this year’s Academic Venue Show (AVS).

The show takes place at ILEC in West London on 20 May and organisers promise a range of exclusive offers and prize draws from some of the 40 venues exhibiting.

Organisers Venuemasters’ chair, Jane James from The University of Manchester, described the show as “a truly one-of-a-kind opportunity for event organisers”.

“The Show is a really great way for academic venues to meet with event organisers and talk to them face to face about their event needs,” James added.

James’ own venue, The University of Manchester Conferences and Venues will be celebrating Manchester’s status as European City of Science in 2016. We have a fun experiment for organisers to try out on our stand and also a free prize draw for a family pass to the University’s Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre”.

The Academic Venue Show is currently the UK’s only event dedicated to showcasing the facilities offered by academic venues.

Visitors can register for free attendance at www.academicvenueshow.co.uk

Venuemasters claims registrations are up 20% on last year despite the date clash this year with IMEX Frankfurt.
