Sainsbury’s and Tesco to attend FreeFrom Food Awards at RCP

The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) will host brands including Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Holland & Barrett when it hosts the annual FreeFrom Food Awards on 22 April.

The awards, which recognise excellence in the production of allergen-free food products, will return to RCP for the third year running. Presentations will be given by FreeFrom Food Awards Patron, Anthony Worrall Thompson.

The event will take place in RCP’s Osler Room and will comprise an awards ceremony and canapé reception.

RCP sales and marketing manager, Natacha Allen says: “We are delighted to be hosting such a high-calibre event for the third year running. Needless to say, allergy awareness is now high on everyone’s agenda, so we’re really interested to hear the results.”

Director of Foods Matters, Michelle Berriedale-Johnson adds: “Our events at the RCP have always been a great success. It is a fabulous location and a wonderful building.  Even better, the RCP staff have always been immensely helpful and totally un-phased by our somewhat unusual requirements.”
