ICC Birmingham adds two to its sales team

The International Convention Centre (ICC) Birmingham has strengthened its sales team with the appointment of Rachel Hunton (pictured) as account director for Corporates and Danielle Parry as senior account manager for Associations.

Hunton has joined the ICC corporate team with over 25 years’ sales experience across a range of markets and industries.

“I pride myself on forging strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and finding solutions to help them achieve their objectives, so I’m looking forward to getting my teeth into the role and utilising my knowledge and experience,” Hunton said.

Parry joins the team with five years’ experience in sales and account management roles in the financial, credit risk, and energy and retail sectors. She is fluent in French and German and is working with the associations team to attract new clients.

“With my previous experience and fluent languages, I’m keen to build the ICC’s international business and explore opportunities with Associations across diverse industries including financial, retail, logistics and energy,” she said.

The ICC Birmingham also reports that its Vox Conference Centre, due to open at Resorts World Birmingham in summer 2015, has secured a third of its first year target with a number of advance bookings confirmed.

The British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) was announced as the first association booking, and now the first corporate client has been confirmed as Tropic Skincare, via Pandora Events, who will be bringing around 600 delegates in September.

A further six clients have confirmed bookings, according to The Vox management.
