Ricoh Arena, The NEC and BIC voted Business Superbrands

The annual Business Superbrands list this year features The NEC, Ricoh Arena, Bournemouth International Centre among the UK’s strongest business-to-business brands.

The annual survey has been identifying the UK’s leading B2B brands since 2001.

The process was managed by The Centre for Brand Analysis (TCBA) and questioned 2,000 individual business professionals from across the UK as well as the independent and voluntary Business Superbrands Council. The three audiences judged more than 1,200 brands, which they assessed on three key criteria: quality, reliability and distinction.

Stephen Cheliotis, chairman of the Business Superbrands Council, said: “Having a strong reputation is as essential in business-business markets as in business-consumer markets.

“It is often ignored by management, or certainly lower in the list of priorities, for many B2B companies, meaning they miss out on the clear benefits a strong brand provides. Those brands awarded Business Superbrand status should therefore be praised for focusing on, and more importantly succeeding in, building a recognisable, powerful and respected brand.”

Liz Cooper, marketing director at the Ricoh Arena, said: “The whole team at the Ricoh Arena is proud to be awarded Superbrands status alongside such other prestigious companies.

“It underlines our reputation in the business world and the high standard of the facilities that we provide to international, national and regional businesses whether they are looking to stage a conference, exhibition or meeting.”
 
In brand categories, The NEC was named category winner for Conferences & Events – Venues, and Haymarket for Conferences & Events – Owners & Organisers.

Hilton Hotels & Resorts picked up the Travel – Business Hotels category win and American Express Travel topped the Travel – Corporate Travel Services category.

Other brands in the conference and business travel sectors designated Business Superbrands this year included: Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Central Hall Westminster, Compass Group, Crowne Plaza, De Vere Hotels, EMAP, Harrogate International Centre, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn, Informa, Manchester Central, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Metro Radio Arena Newcastle, Novotel, Park Inn by Radisson, Park Plaza, Radisson Blu Edwardian, Reed  Exhibitions, Regus, SECC, Searcys, Sodexo, The ICC Birmingham, Travelodge and UBM Live.
