London marketing body snares top gong

London & Partners has been named by The Sunday Times newspaper as one of the best companies in the country to work for.

The company ranked 86th in the 2015 Sunday Times rankings of Best Not-for-Profit Organisations. It was listed as ‘one to watch’ in 2014.

London & Partners was founded by the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson in April 2011 to take over the promotional roles of Think London, Visit London and Study London. The public-private partnership aims to build London’s international reputation and to attract investment and visitor spending, creating jobs and growth.

Gordon Innes (pictured), CEO of London & Partners, said: “Our staff also enjoy a congenial working environment, bolstered by modern practices such as remote working and hotdesking. We also operate out of a state-of the-art riverside office, which has recently been refurbished and showcases the best of London to visitors, clients and stakeholders alike.”

A spokeswoman for The Sunday Times said: “This ranking is compiled from the views of employees. Individuals in charities, public-sector bodies, housing associations and other third-sector operators were surveyed using a methodology designed for the British workplace. This identifies best practice defined by performance in eight key indicators of workplace engagement. These cover staff opinions on personal development, their manager, colleagues, pay and benefits, wellbeing, their organisation’s leadership and willingness to give something back, plus their sense of affiliation with their employer.”
