Liz Doogan-Hobbs (pictured left), MBE, founder and chief executive of sporting and music events production company Liz Hobbs Group, has scooped the Business Woman of the Year at the Enterprising Women and Integra Inspire Awards 2015.
Hobbs was awarded over four finalists at a luncheon honouring inspirational women in business at the event in Nottingham last week.
Hobbs was British Ski Racing Champion seven times, European Champion four times and World Champion before her 21st birthday. Her competitive attitude clearly stood her in good stead for her business career.
“I am truly thrilled and humbled receiving this award for Business Woman of the Year. This award reflects the hard work and dedication from my team,” she said.
Her Newark-based business recently expanded its production facility and developed rehearsal space to satisfy its substantial growth plans.
Her company has created a live touring opportunity for both sport and the music industry through her newly created Grandslam tours.
2015 see’s the launch of pop legends, Grandslam Madness tour, the UK’s largest outdoor sporting and music tour, ever undertaken in the UK by an artist. The tour runs from May to September 2015, encompassing numerous venues around the country, including racecourses, cricket grounds, rugby and football stadia, motor racing and golf courses.
