Brand switch aims to boost market share

A hotel marketing group has changed its name.

Lindsey Ueberroth, president & CEO at Preferred Hotels & Resorts (pictured), says the move will help the group gain market
share.

The company will be represented by one website, www.PreferredHotels.com.  

All of the company’s 650 member hotels and resorts are represented
by the new brand.

Ms Ueberroth said the new strategy will be supported by a
multi-million advertising, marketing, and public relations campaign.

The Preferred brand was established in 1968 by a group of
hoteliers as a referral organisation for hotels called Preferred Hotels
Association. The Ueberroth Family has owned the business for 11 years and it is
the world’s largest independent hotel brand with 250 associates based in nearly
40 cities across the globe.
