Anita Lowe leaves Bluehat; sets up Venues and Events International

Anita Lowe has launched a new venue-finding agency in Swindon, Venues and Events International, following her departure from Bluehat Group.
Lowe has invested in the agency alongside Thames Vally capital. Some of the original team that were part of Bluehat Venues and Events will now work for this new venture.

A statement from Venues and Events International said: “In order to facilitate investment into Venues and Events, this will now be taken forward under the ownership of the new investor and Anita. This will allow Bluehat to work on its core teambuilding and still maintain the close relationship with the venue finding and events area within our industry.

Anita Lowe leaves Bluehat Group three months after joining the agency in January to head up its Venues and Events division, which was based near Swindon.
Bluehat says it it will now be moving its Venues and Events division to its London headquarters.
“It was fun working with Anita Lowe in setting up the new division and we had hoped that she would join the board as a director and shareholder, but people change their minds and we respect that,” said Tim Shepley, CEO of Bluehat Group. “As I understand it, Anita left Bluehat Group with a view to setting up a venue finding company based near her home in Swindon and is looking to work with clients that she has built up a personal relationship with over the years.
“We wish her well with her new venture and hope to support her offering with our events solutions. We also welcome both Stephanie Warner and Jess Chesterton from the Swindon office who will relocate to our London Bridge HQ.”
Shepley added that the agency has recruited three new account managers including Nathan Burnside who joins from Spectrum Events and will focus on developing venue relationships, Claire Murrell who joins from Cliveden to work with agency accounts and Hannah Evans from etc.venues who will work on corporate accounts.
Commenting on the division’s move to its London headquarters, Shepley said: “Bringing this service home within the core team will enable us to offer our clients a more integrated events service which will allow them to benefit from an all-round event solution.
“The venue is just one element of a live event. It’s the creativity and ideas that produce the most engaging delegate experience and drives event value for clients. There’s no better way to achieving this than having our most creative people working together under the same roof and brainstorming client solutions face to face on a daily basis.”
