Operators of serviced apartments are looking to conference delegates to boost business.
The Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP) attracted 15 new members in the last quarter.
ASAP managing director James Foice said the new members were a mixture of significant multinational businesses and smaller independents.
He said the association’s accreditation scheme was responsible for the membership growth and said his association’s 18-month partnership with conference and training room provider etc venues was reaping rewards.
Foice said: “Business travellers want to know that units have been properly assessed and they know what they’re getting for their money. Generating exposure for the quality marque is critical, and we will hold more networking events this year as well as the regional meetings and a summer educational forum. We want ASAP to be the default trade association for operators who want to do business in the UK.”
