UK meetings industry association the HBAA has added to its ranks of supporters of its International Charter, with the announcement of Austria Trend Hotels as the latest signatory.
Austria Trend Hotels operates 29 properties in the four-star category across Austria and Eastern Europe.
The group is expanding and is looking to grow market share and capitalise on the meetings and events facilities available within the properties.
The sign-up follows the announcement by HBAA chairman Jacqui Kavanagh, of Trinity Events Solutions, of the association’s first International Forum. The forum takes place at the five-star Huis ter Duin Hotel in Noordwijk, The Netherlands, on 27 and 28 March, and provides the opportunity for International Charter signees to network with up to 100 bookers who have responsibility for overseas bookings within their agency.
Steve Ockerby, chair of International Projects at the HBAA said: “We are delighted to be hosting our first International Forum. With even more tangible benefits for signees, there is no better time to become involved. We hope this will encourage more people to come forward and reap the rewards available from the association.”
The International Charter is designed to foster best practice between HBAA intermediary members and the international hotels and venues they work with.
