Eventbrite to power Event Industry Report

Meetings and events industry professionals are encouraged to take part in a new major industry survey being put together by event technology experts Eventbrite, with the backing of key industry organisations.

With data and insights crucial to every business and every event these days, Eventbrite says it is undertaking the comprehensive project in order to understand the key trends and benchmarks that are impacting event businesses.

The industry-wide intelligence gleaned can then be used to help benchmark activities and help businesses make more informed decisions.

This survey’s supporters include: BVEP, Meetings Industry Association, Association of British Professional Conference Organisers, Association of Festival Organisers, Mash Media and International Confex.

Marino Fresch, head of marketing for UK & Ireland at Eventbrite says: “The event industry is sorely lacking in actionable data that could help organisers make smart decisions.

“For example, what marketing tactics are working for others? Are specific skills becoming more or less in demand? What do organisers prioritise when choosing a venue?

“These are just a few of the important questions we’ll be able to answer in our Event Industry Report. The more responses we get, the more accurate and useful the results will be.”

Eventbrite expects to create a definitive resource for event professionals to understand the big shifts happening in their industry, where they currently stand within these emerging trends, and how other organisers are looking to adapt to the future.  
 
Other questions the report will be designed to answer include:

  • What are the main goals of organisations in 2015?
  • What are their key challenges?
  • How much do organisations spend to acquire attendees?
  • What kinds of marketing tactics work well?
  • What new technologies are organisers investing in?
  • Where are budgets increasing or decreasing across the industry?
  • What skill sets are increasing and decreasing in demand?
  • How do organisers make decisions on venue hire?

Those who complete the survey will be entered to win one of 10 £50 Amazon vouchers.
