EVCOM gains new affiliates from euromic link

EVCOM
is to partner with events and destination management association euromic and is
extending affiliate membership to the DMC’s members. The partnership, added to
other recent affiliates at EVCOM, boosts the association’s ranks by 40
affiliate members.

Membership
of euromic is by invitation only. Each member is an independent DMC and
membership is limited to one per country. From its original European and
Mediterranean base, euromic has grown to extend across Asia, Africa, South
America and the Middle East.  

Marco
Forgione (pictured), EVCOM CEO said: “This formal partnership with euromic
brings together
EVCOM, the leading film, digital, live and experiential,
membership association and Europe’s leading community of DMCs.

“At
this time of unprecedented change in the communication industry ensuring that
all sectors of our industry across Europe are working together effectively is
essential.

“I
look forward to welcoming euromic’s members to the wide variety of events we
are hosting over the coming year. These will provide great opportunities to
share knowledge and understanding, as well as helping members to widen and
broaden their networks.”

Director
Karim El Minabawy, president of euromic, described partnering with EVCOM as a
strategic move. He said: “Their goals and mission embody the true heart and
soul of euromic and we feel honoured to be partnering with the most prestigious
UK association. Our aim is to further develop and enhance successful, long term
and strategic relationships between members of both associations.”
