Sadler’s Wells reveals 10% increase in daytime meetings

Sadler’s Wells Events has reported a 10 per cent increase in corporate events sales for its daytime meeting facility the Rosebery Room during January-December 2014.

The venue says the majority of the increase in bookings came from repeat business. This increase was achieved despite a six-week venue closure in the summer for refurbishment work.

The events team reports a significant increase in corporate and charity sector bookings and says recent events booked include for Puffin Books, BBC Radio 3, Design Business Association and Expedia.

“We’re delighted to have seen such great results in 2014,” says event manager Georgie Smith. “We have gained two members to our events team in the last year and I’m proud of the hard work they have put into developing new business for the venue.

“I think it’s also a sign that the events market in London is growing stronger so I’m looking forward to driving this forward in 2015.”
