London City Selection (LCS) has revealed the theme for its annual agent familiarisation weekend will be ‘Mods and Venue Rockers’.
The event takes place 6-7 March and, in a new initiative for 2015, the theme was selected from a number of proposed event concepts designed and presented by students enrolled on the Event Management for Marketing and Communication course at the Ashdown Academy, which runs courses at University of London and Kings College.
Alternative theme ideas from the students included Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, London Past and Present and an Around the World theme.
The ‘Mods and Rockers’ theme was selected by the LCS events committee and is being developed into a range of activities in keeping with the 1950s theme.
The annual LCS event will welcome UK agents and event planners, allowing member venues to showcase their event spaces while participating in fun activities and team challenges throughout the weekend, such as Hula Hoop and a Fashion Hunt Challenge.
Lorraine Butler, LCS events chair and sales and marketing manager at Middle Temple, recently appointed participating post-graduate student Eleanora Chimienti to the role of intern at Middle Temple to help with planning and management of the fam event.
