Barbican reports £1m of enquiries to kick off the year

The City of London’s Barbican says it is anticipating a big year of business events with £1m of enquiries made within the first two weeks of 2015.

The continued growth of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama’s Milton Court as well as spaces such as the Conservatory and Barbican Hall have contributed to an increase in business events being held at the venue over the past year.

“The level of enquiries we have received so early on in the year promises an exciting year for everyone associated with the Barbican,” says Barbican’s head of sales Jackie Boughton. “While we appreciate enquiries don’t always mean confirmed business, it does acknowledge our increased visibility within the industry as an award winning venue. We continue to successfully raise our profile and this has been key to the level of enquiries we have experienced within the first weeks of 2015.”

Barbican is Europe’s largest combined conference and arts venue.
