The Hilton Birmingham Metropole has been selected to host the Railtex 2015 Awards.
The awards, which are designed to recognise excellence in the UK rail market, take place 13 May at the venue within the grounds of the NEC where the Railtex 2015 railway technology show will run, 12-14 May.
Railtex is held every two years and was last held in 2013.
The organiser’s other big rail event, the Infrarail exhibition, took place this year, together with an Awards dinner at The Copthorne Tara in London.
The Railtex Awards dinner in 2013 was a sell out and tickets for the 2015 event will be limited, say organisers In2Global, who have also said that three-quarters of the exhibition space is sold.
Heidi Cotsworth (pictured centre), Exhibition Manager for Railtex, said: “The first Railtex Awards dinner in 2013 was hosted by Phil Tufnell and Garry Richardson (also pictured). The dinner provides a valuable opportunity to recognise excellence within the organisations that exhibit at Railtex.”
