Elton John to play Kent Event Centre

Kent Event Centre is to host Elton John and his band as part of their European tour on 31 May 2015.

Organisers expect to host 14,500 fans for the open air concert which will see corporate attendees being hosted in the centre’s Maidstone Exhibition Hall.

Elton John says: “My band and I are very much looking forward to returning to Kent. I cannot believe it has been eight years since we last played there…too long! The fans in the South East have always made me feel very welcome during my several shows in the county, and I can’t wait to bring our show to the Kent Event Centre.”

Kent Event Centre Manager Alison Wallington reports a varied calendar of events for 2015 at the venue, including concerts and festivals in addition to traditional agricultural and corporate events.

“We are looking forward to welcoming Elton John and his band back to the county for the first time since 2006 and what is sure to be a memorable evening of entertainment.”

Kent Event Centre is the commercial arm of the Kent County Agricultural Society, a charity established in 1923 based at the Kent Showground near Maidstone.

The Kent Event Centre was formed in 2000 as a dedicated conference and events venue. It is the largest conference facility in Kent offering 7,000sqm of indoor space and four dedicated conference.
