Event organisers from the medical, pharmaceutical and education sector came together, 7 November, at the University of Cambridge’s Robinson College for the first ever Clic+ conference and trade show.
Organised by Robinson College, in partnership with Cambridge Event Management, the event placed a major focus on technology, networking, social media and nutrition, with a programme of workshops, talks, and interactivity.
Keynote speakers included Zibrant’s MD Fay Sharpe, who delivered an inspirational talk on her career success, while CEO of life-science membership network, One Nucleus, Harriet Fear, shared her experiences of conference and event planning, drawing on her 20 years’ service as a British diplomat.
Off Limits Corporate Events engaged delegates in the break with an ‘In It 2 Win It’ activity, which allowed every delegate and exhibitor to network while completing a series of fun and fast paced challenges against the clock.
Local Cambridge companies, Method Creative and Cambridge Cookery School (CCS), ran educational workshops on the day and ‘oneTap’ badges, courtesy of local event solutions company Blendology, provided a chance to road test next generation event registration technology.
Robinson College’s Conference and Catering Manager, Nick Milne said he was thrilled with the feedback from Clic+ attendees.
“The purpose of Clic+ was to put on an event that would be both inspirational and engaging for delegates from start to finish. From the enriching talks by Fay Sharpe and Harriet Fear, to the workshops and networking activities, delegates were constantly being offered new and thought provoking content. It was great to see that attendees could really benefit from the day but also enjoy themselves, which is exactly how an engaging event should be,” said Milne.
Clic+ organisers have already announced that the next Clic+ will take place on 1 October 2015.
