Business Events Bournemouth launches new service

Bournemouth has a new conference and exhibition destination marketing, venue finding and delegate booking hub, remodelled as a single point of contact for anyone planning, running and attending a major event in the south coast resort.
The integrated Business Events Bournemouth service is funded and delivered through a partnership of influential acronyms: BH Live, the Bournemouth Coastal Business Improvement District (BID) and Bournemouth Borough Council through Bournemouth Tourism, supported by Bournemouth Accommodation and Hotel Association (BAHA).
The announcement coincides with the launch of a new accommodation booking service, endorsed by BAHA, to make it simpler for delegates to book accommodation at Bournemouth’s hotels.
Hotels allocating bedrooms through Business Events Bournemouth will, via commission, contribute to the overall marketing and promotion of Bournemouth as a business destination. The Bournemouth International Centre will also market the service to its client organisers and delegates.
Business Events Bournemouth’s backers say the new service brand will take the legwork out of running a successful business event. They claim expert know-how and strong links with local hotels, retail, taxi and other service providers will improve the organiser and delegate experience. The service includes a complete, online booking package offering a choice of affordable accommodation for delegates.

“This new and improved service will be a great asset in encouraging more organisers to bring their events to Bournemouth,” saysBH Live Director of Venues, Pat Coyne (pictured). “It will ensure rounded experiences for all our business visitors and boost our performance as a major business destination.”
Des Simmons, Chairman of the Bournemouth Coastal Bid, says: ”This new partnership will bring the various components of the local business events industry together as never before, to ensure we offer the very best service to organisers and delegates alike”.
“It’s a very exciting time for the town,” adds Jon Weaver, Head of Resort Marketing and Events. “All the hard work that has been put into the development of a targeted marketing campaign will once again position Bournemouth as a major conference destination.”
