session, the students were briefed on the range of events possible at the
venue, from concerts to meetings, and the flexibility and professionalism
needed from the event team.
Humphreys, Course Leader at the University of Westminster, said: “As
students start out on their careers in the events industry it is vital that
they gain understanding of the role of event managers and the intricacies of
hosting corporate and private events.
Emirates Stadium provides students at the University of Westminster with an
opportunity to learn about the work of event professionals, as well as
providing them with the chance to link their learning with real-world practice.”
Zoccali, Meetings and Events Manager, added: “It was great to have the
opportunity to show these students around and explain what it is our event team
does at the venue. Emirates has a rare quality in that the spaces were designed
with events in mind. Our team enjoyed being able to touch upon and impart some
knowledge on all types of events.”
