Dirk Mischendahl, Joint MD and Logistik Group founder, is stepping away from the agency after 18 years at the helm. Joint MD and shareholder James Wilkins (pictured) will take sole leadership of the Leeds-based company, effective immediately.
“Logistik has been an enormous part of my life and I am extremely proud of all that it has achieved for myself and its many employees,” Mischendahl, says.
“I am delighted to be turning my hand to new things as I watch Logistik grow and burgeon from a distance. It has been a pleasure working with James and I leave knowing that the company I built is in the very best of hands. He is the brother that I never had and the partnership and friendship that we have built in the last 10 years will continue.”
Wilkins will become the only custodian of the agency during a period of significant movement and development as it looks to strengthen its communications consultancy wing. This change comes alongside several recent top-level appointments across the business.
Wilkins, who has been with Logistik Group for over 10 years, was initially integrated into the agency by Mischendahl to shift its market share and client base.
“It has been a pleasure and an honour working with and learning from Dirk over the past 10 years. We have built an incredibly strong friendship and partnership and are intricately entwined in each other’s lives,” Wilkins says. “I am as excited to see what he does next as he is to watch Logistik. This is an exciting moment in our history as we look to break new ground and leap into the future of our company while playing the due respect and thanks to our past.
“Dirk built a strong company with all of the right cultural foundations that have helped us to become who we are today and ensured that we have the power to naturally progress. I wish Dirk every success in his future endeavours.”
