Hampshire launches conference bureau

Hampshire County Council has launched a dedicated conference bureau for the county, which will showcase the conference and event facilities across Hampshire.
“We feel Hampshire has great potential to benefit from more business conferences, meetings and events, particularly due to its strong transport links,” said Hampshire County Council’s Executive Member for Economy, Transport and Environment, Councillor Sean Woodward.
“The launch of the new Hampshire Conference Bureau, in partnership with Destination Southampton, will enable us to promote a wider range of our county’s venues to key national and international event planners and help grow our three billion tourism economy.”
The bureau says it will be offering a professional venue finding service for conferences and is managed by the team behind Southampton’s conference bureau, Destination Southampton.
“We are delighted to be working with Hampshire County Council and are pleased to officially launch the bureau website and social media platforms,” said Shirley Pinn, Managing Director of Destination Southampton.

The bureau will be promoting areas such as Southampton, Portsmouth, Basingstoke, Winchester, New Forest, Andover and Farnborough.
