Banbury-based Corporate Innovations (CI) Group has acquired brand marketing agency Roundtable.
Peter Thompson, founder and CEO of Roundtable, will become Group Chairman of CI Group. He will retain his leading role at Roundtable, as both Corporate Innovations and Roundtable will continue to function as separate companies.
Corporate Innovations will continue to provide below the line experiential, events, reward, promotional and shopper activations across B2C and B2B, in both analogue and digital mediums.
Roundtable will continue to provide above the line strategic and creative and strategic brand development, engaging and advocacy, including design, advertising, social, experiential and direct response marketing.
David Watt, MD of Corporate Innovations and CEO of CI Group, said: “I’m delighted that Roundtable is joining CI Group and I’m excited about future business development prospects from the two complementary agencies joining forces.
“Together we’ll provide a broader full service integrated marketing communication option for clients across multiple sectors. We’ve worked closely with Roundtable for a number of years, with Peter acting as a non-exec director for us and joining our leadership team earlier this year.
“Acquiring Roundtable accelerates our long-term expansion plans that broaden our client offer and appeal to a wider client base. Together, we now have all the skills necessary to create multi-disciplinary integrated campaigns.”
Thompson said the past few months had seen Roundtable and Corporate Innovations gravitating to working together more closely. “This now feels the right time to cement the relationship into something more permanent.
“The CI Group structure allows the two companies to continue to work independently and do what they do best, while providing the collaborative framework for them to co-exist and work together effectively and efficiently when the need arises. My role as Group Chairman means I’ll be perfectly placed to identify and nurture joint business opportunities.”
Corporate Innovations and Roundtable will continue to work from their respective offices in Oxfordshire and London Soho.
