Entrevo, a UK-based company that helps entrepreneurs and leaders to scale up small businesses, has broken the Guinness World Record for the most people attending a business speed-networking event.
The event, organised by Entrevo CEO Darshana Ubl, took place at the Mermaid Theatre in Blackfriars, London, on 17 October and involved 487 business networkers plus a support team of 35.
The record-breaking activity took one hour and 18 minutes and involved each networking participant speaking with 22 others.
With several people disqualified by official Guinness World Records adjudicator Mark McKinley, the new world record was achieved with a margin of 12 people.
The world record attempt took place between a series of lectures at the Entrepreneur Brand Accelerator conference.
Vince Cable, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, gave a keynote speech as the start of the day’s conference, highlighting the support the Government is currently providing to entrepreneurs.
