Manchester Metropolitan University has been announced as the host of the European Intelligence and Security Informatics Conference (EISIC).
The event is the flagship European conference on counter terrorism and criminology, and will take place at MMU 7-9 September 2015. The 2014 conference was held in Sept 2014 in The Hague, Netherlands.
It is estimated the 2015 event will attract 120 experts from across the world, and be worth £160,000 in economic benefit to the city. The 2015 event will be the fifth edition of the conference, which has previously taken place in Greece, Denmark, Sweden as well as the Netherlands.
Janet Scull, Head of Conference Services at MMU said: “We are delighted to be able to host this conference at MMU. Manchester is an exciting city and our stunning Business School’s central location makes it an ideal venue for such an event.”
