Three months on from its inaugural AGM, the new-look EVCOM association, formed from a merger of the old Eventia and IVCA associations, is delivering on its promise to increase its membership.
The association has announced its current, record, membership of 516 exceeds its target for the year. An EVCOM spokesperson told CN that when the association was formed back in June, the combined memberships totalled 420.
The latest membership news follows a successful Summer EVCOM in Birmingham this month, which brought the events and visual community together for a day of discussion and debate.
EVCOM CEO Marco Forgione said: “It is always great when new members join EVCOM but even more encouraging is that we are attracting new members from so many different sectors of the industry from film makers to venues, incentive travel people to suppliers, freelancers to writers and event agencies.”
The association’s Chairman Dale Parmenter added: “EVCOM’s mission is to make its members even more successful, and I’m convinced the opportunities for EVCOM members working together is huge. We already have examples where members of the old IVCA and Eventia, who would have never met in the past, have been able to create fantastic value, and really grow their offering to clients.”
“Through events like Summer EVCOM, our educational programmes and award ceremonies will be the catalyst for success.”
