Conference and association agency Contendam, created following the collapse of Congrex UK last year, says it is entering “an exciting new phase” with Christian Olsen, company Director, nominated to lead the business following the sudden departure of Rob Harrison from his role as CEO.
Company Sales Director Susan Hayden (pictured) says: “We thank Rob Harrison for his support and leadership during his time with Congrex and through the transition period of the last year. We wish him well with his future plans. It’s business as usual for Contendam. Myself and our very experienced senior management team are fully focused in continuing to deliver successful events for our clients for the rest of this year and beyond.”
Contendam says it continues to strengthen its operational team with the appointment of Karen Harris as Sponsorship and Exhibition Manager. She had worked previously for SB Communications Group specifically in the medical sectors of diabetes and wound management.
In the past four months Contendam has delivered 10 major events: including ESPRAS 2014, the European Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons Congress held at the EICC and RCSEd in Edinburgh; the Bicentenary Anniversary conference of the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital; the International Spinal Cord Society Annual Scientific Meeting in Maastricht for 1000 and registration services for 2,700 delegates as the International Society for Obstetrics and Gynaecology World Congress, in Barcelona.
The Contendam team says it has events secured until 2018 and is looking forward to embracing the opportunities that lie ahead.
