CeBIT JV with DCD creates world’s largest data centre event

CeBIT, the world’s largest IT event, has joined forces with London-based DatacenterDynamics (DCD), a global provider of specialist data centre conferences, to create the world’s largest  international data centre event at CeBIT in Hannover between 16-20 March 2015.

Themed ‘The Business of Data Centres’, the conference programme will run over five days, will feature a host of international experts and will focus on helping IT professionals better understand the role of the modern datacentre as the ultimate business enabler and home to ‘the Cloud’ in all its forms.

The 2015 conference programme is split into four tracks and The Expo, housed in over 12,000sqm, will be the largest ever organised for the sector.

The event represents the first joint venture of its kind that CeBIT has entered into in its 28-year history. Oliver Frese, member of the board of CeBIT-Organiser Deutsche Messe AG, said “We are excited to be working with DCD, which heralds a new age of brand collaboration in the B2B events arena. By combining forces we can deliver IT professionals much more targeted learning and networking opportunities”.

George Rockett, Founder of the DatacenterDynamics event series, added: “We are honoured to be working with such a legendary event as CeBIT. The scale of both the audience and the venue will allow us to introduce some exciting new conference formats, and explore new topics.”

DCD operates in 42 countries and has a portfolio of live events, online and print publishing, business intelligence and professional development brands centred around the complexities of technology convergence.

Deutsche Messe expects more than 3,500 exhibitors and 200,000 professional visitors from more than 100 countries at the show next year.
