Full service event management agency, London-based Banks Sadler, is set to open an office in Shanghai, China later this year.
The new office will oversee account management and business development throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
“Banks Sadler saw the necessity for an on-the-ground team in Shanghai to service our existing clients and a growing portfolio of new business,” says Leigh Jagger, the Group’s CEO. “We have listened to our clients who wanted us in the country to offer local assistance and to support our global contracts.”
A Country Director for the new office is currently being recruited, and two recently recruited Chinese employees will start an intensive training programme in the UK in the next few weeks.
With extensive experience working in the events industry, Lei Gu and Wei Limin will have responsibility for business development, venue finding and event management.
“This is another exciting chapter in the Banks Sadler story and we are looking forward to opening an office in the APAC region,” said Jagger. “Lei and Wei have a tremendous amount of industry experience and more importantly knowledge of the region”.
The opening of the Shanghai office is just the latest step in Banks Sadler’s global expansion. The company now has six offices in five countries.
