Ashfield M&E announces healthy pipeline of work

Ashfield Meetings & Events has announced a number of recent business development successes, including being appointed by The European Lung Foundation to launch the Healthy Lungs For Life campaign at the European Respiratory Society (ERS) International Congress in Munich, 6-10 September 2014.

Healthy Lungs For Life is one of the largest ever lung health campaigns, designed to raise awareness of the importance of healthy lungs. The Leicestershire-based agency is providing local support from its Munich-based office and has developed an experiential ‘Lung Function Area’ in Odeonsplatz, where activities will include public lung function testing.

Ashfield will also manage a number of groups attending the congress with separate clients, including Chiesi UK.

The agency has also been appointed to two international rosters for delegate management and venue finding across different divisions of a top 10 pharmaceutical company. Both rosters will involve a blended cross-Atlantic team from offices in Pennsylvania in the US and Ashby De La Zouch in the UK.

The first roster is research and development-led events, while the second is focused on post-launch events and internal meetings and conferences.

The company says the client cited Ashfield’s pharmaceutical experience and compliance insight alongside their transparent pricing, global reach and financial stability as key factors in their success.

Welcoming the developments and other wins, which have included Covis Pharmaceuticals, The Cystinosis Foundation and Isover, part of the Saint Gobain group of companies, Head Of Sales and Marketing Luke Flett said: “We are delighted with these successes. In many cases we have already delivered the events successfully and are now looking forward to developing the relationships into strategic partnerships.”
He added that winning long-term contracted business in the company’s core sector was “a result of a tremendous amount of hard work across our agency in developing the relationship, consistently delivering to the highest service levels and understanding our clients and their business”.
